The organised in Zhenjiang, China, saw active participation from top companies in that country.
Zhenjiang, with a population of 3.17 million and GDP of USD 5.5 million in Jiangsu province, is located in the Yangtze River Delta transport corridor between Shanghai and Nanjing economic regions.
Its main industries include advance equipment manufacturing, bio- technology, pharmaceuticals, IT, and space technologies.
According to the Indian Consulate in Shanghai, “the objective of forum was to introduce the investment opportunities available to Chinese companies in India in sectors like renewable energy, smart cities, power sector, urban transportation and infrastructure, as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative.”
