Runaya Metsource’s 50:50 JV with Russia’s UC Rusal

Runaya Metsource has inked a pact with UC Rusal, a global aluminium major, for a 50:50 joint venture (JV) in India.

Runaya Metsource is a venture of Naivedya Agarwal, who is the son of Navin Agarwal, Chairman Vedanta and Cairn India.

This joint venture will set up 10,000 tonnes per annum facility, specialising in the production of high technology aluminium pastes and powders with a wide range of high end applications, including in additive technologies and solar energy, according to a press release issued by Runaya.

At present, the demand of these products in India are met through global sources.
