Port project: Andhra govt to negotiate with Adani

The government of Andhra Pradesh will hold talks with top officials of Adani Group before taking a final decision on Bhavanapadu port project.

The company has already submitted its bid for the development of the green-field project, located in north coastal district of Srikakulam.

“However, officials feel that the revenue share offered by the company to the government is less. Hence, they have decided to discuss with Adani officers before taking a final call,” sources said.

According to a Business Standard report, Adani group had offered to give 0.5 per cent of the revenues from the port project in case it wins the port project.
