Odisha govt to invest Rs 174 crore for Baramunda terminal

Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena said the State government of Odisha will invest Rs 174 crore on modernisation of the Baramunda bus terminal.

The Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), which will have all the facilities including a G+2 terminal building, a two-storey commercial block, 35 bus bays and parking space for 191 private buses, will be developed on 15.5 acres of land.

Besides ISBT, 416 two BHK and 288 three BHK apartments will be constructed on 7.7 acre at Subudhipur at an investment of Rs 200 crore.

A 7-storey commercial and residential complex will be constructed at Kalinga Nagar K-9 area at an investment of Rs 61 crore. Also, 128 two BHK apartments will be constructed at Kalinga Nagar with an investment of Rs 29 crore.

In addition, a housing project will also be taken up for the economically weaker sections at Gadakana at a cost of Rs 85 crore, while a building shopping centre will come up at a cost of Rs 30.5 crore.
