MoEF takes up 9 projects for environment clearance

At its meeting on April 6 and 7, the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change took up first level of environment clearance for nine projects.

The projects include Proposed 1 Million ton integrated Steel Plant with 225MW at Gokulpu in West Bengal. It is by Orissa Metaliks Private Limited.

Proposed expansion of CTD/TMT bars manufacturing unit by installation of M.S.Billet /Ingots of RTGL
Industries Limited in Rajasthan and proposed enhancement in Cement Production Capacity of Existing Stand-alone Grinding Unit by installation of New Slag Grinder in West Bengal by Dankuni Cement Works were also taken up for discussion.

Proposed Enhancement in Clinker Production Capacity (1.6 to 1.94 MTPA) by Process Optimization at Villages – Bhawaliya &Mangrol in Chittorgarh in Rajasthan by Lafarge India Ltd was also considered for first level clearance.
