Meghmani Finechem to foray into manufacturing of Epichlorohydrin

Meghmani Finechem Ltd will set up a project of Epichlorohydrin, with a capacity 50,000 tonnes per annum. This will be based on TechnipFMC’s EPICEROL technology.

Meghmani is a flagship company of Meghmani Group. Epicerol technology is based on glycerine as feed stock which is obtained from 100 per cent renewable resources.

The project will be set at Chlor Alkali and Derivatives Complex, Dahej. It will be done with a capex of around Rs 275 crore and is expected to generate revenue of approximately Rs 460 crore per annum at optimum operating rate.

According to the company, this move is a step forward in the strategy of integration and value addition. Meghmani Finechem Ltd. will be the first to manufacture Epichlorohydrin in India. Currently, this product is imported entirely for the domestic consumption.
