ITC plans partnership venture for hospital biz

ITC is looking to forge partnerships for its proposed multispecialty hospitals.

According to a report in Business Standard, in January, it sought shareholders’ approval to alter its memorandum of association to enter the health care sector.

It is now in the process of assembling a team to prepare a plan. It is yet to set a schedule for the venture’s takeoff.

Sanjiv Puri, Executive Director, was quoted as saying that there is already a degree of synergy between the company’s existing line of business and the health care initiative.
