Hilton to open 18 more hotels in India

Hospitality major Hilton group will open 18 new hotels in India by 2021. The new facilities will be located in cities such as Bengaluru, Lucknow, Goa, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Hilton head of operations-India Andre A. Gomez was quoted as saying by PTI: “We are planning to add another 18 hotels by 2021 in India. It is a very strategic market for us and we continue to explore other opportunities across the country.”

At present, the US-based group runs 15 hotels in the country with more than 2,400 rooms. It operates five brands- Conrad, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton.

Giving more details about the new hotels, Gomez said, “They will be under the brands that we already have in the country. We will have a brand to suit the location.”
