Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been appointed as consultant for the Patna Metro Rail project. The Bihar State Cabinet has approved the appointment of DMRC, which will be paid a consultation fee of Rs 482.9 crore.
A report in Master Builder said discussions were going on with DMRC and the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited for the execution of the ambitious Patna metro project.
“However, since DMRC has a good track record in timely execution of metro projects, it was decided to hand over the project to DMRC and a final nod was given by the state cabinet,” it added.
It is to be noed that DMRC is also executing metro rail projects in Noida, Lucknow and Gurgaon among others. A memorandum of understanding will be signed between the DMRC and the Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL).
