State-run BHEL has commissioned 500 MW thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the company, key equipment for project is manufactured by BHEL at its Haridwar, Trichy, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Ranipet and Bengaluru facilities.
Construction of the plant was undertaken by company’s power sector – northern region.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited owned by the Government of India, is an engineering and manufacturing company based in New Delhi, India. Established in 1964, BHEL is India’s largest power plant equipment manufacturer.
The company has been earning profits continuously since 1971-72, except in FY 2015-2016, and paying dividends uninterruptedly since 1976-77.
It has been granted the prestigious Maharatna (big gem) status in 2013 by Govt of India for its outstanding performance and vast scale.
