BHEL starts 3 MW Solar PV Power Plant

State owned Bharat Heavy Electricals has announced commissioning of a 3MW Solar PV Power Plant in Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

BHEL has executed this project on turnkey basis for Dadra and Nagar Haveli Power Distribution Corporation at Velugam.

BHEL is an engineering and manufacturing company based in New Delhi, India. Established in 1964, it is India’s largest power plant equipment manufacturer.

The company has been earning profits continuously since 1971-72, except in FY 2015-2016, and paying dividends uninterruptedly since 1976-77.

It has been granted the prestigious Maharatna (big gem) status in 2013 by Govt of India for its outstanding performance and vast scale.
