Archimedes Green Energys to produce rooftop wind turbine

Archimedes Green Energys Private Ltd is all set to manufacture rooftop wind turbine. It will showcase one at a renewable energy exposition in Hyderabad this week.

Speaking to BusinessLilne, Suryaprakash Gajjala, CEO of Archimedes Green Energys (P) Ltd, said, “The small wind turbine useful for small offices and homes will be manufactured in partnership with a Korean firm ESCORTS and Dutch technology at Medchal.”

According to Gajjala, the product is an outcome of 20 years of research work of the Dutch national Marinus Mieremet.

He dubbed it as a “Make in India” product and said that the company will set up a manufacturing unit with an outlay of Rs. 50-60 crore and begin rolling out later during the year.

Named after the Greek mathematician and engineer, it can produce 1,500 kWh of energy at a wind speed of 5 m/s -approximately half an average household’s energy use, Suryaprakash said.
