APL Apollo Tubes has decided to increase production with the inaugural of its seventh manufacturing facility.
The major producer of steel pipes in the country accounts for a major share of electric resistance welded (ERW) steel pipes in the country.
It will step up the production from the current 1.3 million tonnes to 2 million tonnes per year by the end of the fiscal.
The company’s director of sales and marketing Sharad Mahendra, “Our seventh manufacturing facility, a greenfield one at Chattisgarh will go on stream this year. We will also expand the capacity of our existing plants.”
