UP govt-DFCCIL-NCR sign MoU to build 29 RoBs

The State government of Uttar Pradesh, the North Central Railway and DFCCIL have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for construction of Road Over Bridges.

As per the pact, 29 RoBs will be constructed on the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor on a cost-sharing basis in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The approach work for these RoBs will be carried out by UP State Bridge Corporation under the aegis of Government of UP. The construction will ensure stoppage-free road and rail movements at Level Crossings, said a report in NBM&CW.

It added that Director/PP DFCCIL, Anshuman Sharma, Special Secretary PWD, Government of UP, Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, and the various zones of Indian Railways represented by Chief Engineer/RSW/ECR, N K Jha were among the other signatories from the railway wings of NCR and Northern Railways.
