Srikalahasthi Pipes Ltd has decided to replace its existing mini blast furnace by installing a new one with a liquid metal capacity of over 1,000 tonnes per day at the existing location in Andhra Pradesh.
The company expects to synchronise the new one with the existing facilities and to utilise the surplus liquid metal available from the new mini blast furnace, said a report in BusinessLine.
Recently, the Board of Directors of Srikalahasthi Pipes approved the un-audited financial results for
the quarter ended 30 June, 2018 at its meeting held in Chennai.
G S Rathi, Whole-time Director, while briefing about the financials said that the profit before
tax for the quarter ended 30 June, 2018 was Rs 21.17 crore, compared to Rs 50.32 crore
reported in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The Profit after tax for the quarter under
review is Rs 17.29 crore as against Rs 36.44 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
