Kadapa-based transformer manufacturing company, Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), has announced the inauguration of its new plant for manufacture of Energy Efficient Amorphous Metal Distribution Transformers.
SSEL and Hitachi Metal Ltd Japan have inked a memorandum of understanding to further work together on development of higher capacity transformers to support energy efficient initiative propagated by government of India.
According to a report in BusinessLine, the new plant located near Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh is expected to have a production capacity of 600 transformers a day, product mix from 25 kva to 250 kva, 30 nos from 500 kva to 2500 kva and 5 per day from 5000 kva to 12500 kva.
According to Sanjay Seth, Managing Director of Hitachi Metals India (HMI), the association will be mutually beneficial and outline SSEL’s growth journey in last few years. N Visweswara Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of SSEL, outlined the company vision that will enable to add value to all stake holders at large.
