Reliance, Adani, GMR Infra and 17 other cos bidd to build Noida airport

As many as 19 companies, including GMR Infra, Adani Group, and Reliance Infra are in the technical bidding process for developing the Rs 16,000 crore Noida International Greenfield Airport project at Jewar in Greater Noida.

Speaking to reporters, Shrikant Sharma, UP Cabinet minister and state government spokesperson, said, “We aim to complete the entire bidding process by February-March 2020.”

The Minister further said the government is aiming for the commercial opening of the first runway by 2023. The Yogi Adityanath government is targeting to complete technical bidding by November 6.

The state Cabinet had earlier approved the amended bidding document aimed at providing more amenities to passengers availing of the services of the proposed airport. This airport is expected to decongest Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
