PMRDA (Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority) is hopeful of getting permission from the Central government to construct 33 km of the proposed 128 km ring road in the first phase.
A TOI report quoted PMRDA commissioner Kiran Gitte as saying that they had met the condition of acquiring 80 per cent of the land required for the project.
He further said: “So, we are hopeful that we will get the clearance for the first phase.” The project is being developed under Bharatmala scheme.
