Netherlands co to invest 200 mn euros to set up solar panel plant in Assam

A Netherlands based company has evinced interest to invest close to 200 million euros in setting up manufacturing facility for producing solar panels in Assam.

After a meeting with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Netherlands Ambassador to India Alphonsus Stoelinga said that Hyet Solar, a company working in solar power is keen to invest 200 million euros to set up a plant in the state.

The company is targeting to generate 200 MW of solar power in Assam, said Stoelinga, who was accompanied by a business delegation.

“The company has set up a unit in Netherland manufacturing silicon based solar panels and Assam facility will be the second unit of the company,” the envoy added.
