Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das has declared open Mother Dairy’s ‘first-of-its kind’ fruit and vegetable processing facility in the Nagdi Block of Ranchi.
According to the company, the high-tech integrated plant is being set up by Safal, the flagship F&V brand of Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable (MDFVPL).
The greenfield plant, envisaged with two phases, has completed its Phase-I of IQF freezing line in a record time of 10 months and has been running trials with a capacity of 5,650 tpa, while Phase-II of the aseptic pulping line with a capacity of 17,700 tpa is expected to be ready by December 2017.
The plant is being set up with subsidy support from the Jharkhand government as per the Jharkhand industrial policy, at an estimated cost of Rs 82.77 crore.
