MoEF takes up 6 projects for final clearing

The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, at a meeting on April 6 and 7, took up six projects for final environment clearance.

They include Steel Authority India Limited’s additional facility at its Bokaro Steel City plant in Jharkhand, proposed Expansion of the Steel Melting Plant from 1,600 TPM to 7,100 TPM of MS Billets of Arun Smelters Pvt. Ltd at SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu and Expansion Proposal for Upgradation & Modernization in Agro Pulping capacity at its Punjab facility by Kuantum
Papers Limited.

Om Sairam Steel and Alloys Pvt Ltd’s expansion of metallurgical unit at Aurangabad, Jaypee Himachal Plant’s expansion of Integrated Cement Plant in HP and Misrilall Mines Pvt. Ltd’s Expansion of Existing Ferro Alloys Plant in Odisha were also taken up for final clearance.
