Modi to inaugurate Rs 30,000 crore petrochemical plant

Come March 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ONGC Petro Additions Ltd’s (OPaL) mega petrochemical project at Dahej.

In an interaction with the media, oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Spread over 508 hectares with an investment of over Rs 30,000 crore, OPaL is the single-largest petrochemical complex in India producing 1.9 MMT.”

Recently, Pradhan was on an official tour to review the preparations of OPaL Dahej mega petrochemical plant before it is inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

OPaL is a joint venture company incorporated in 2006 promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) and co-promoted by GAIL (India) Limited and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC).
