Mangaluru to get grade separator under Sagarmala

Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has said a grade separator will come up at Karnataka Polytechnic Junction and an overpass at Nanthoor Junction along NH-66 in Mangaluru, under Sagar Mala project.

According to the MP, a detailed project report to further upgrade the four-lane NH stretch between B C Road and Surathkal constructed under port connectivity project through Sagar Mala project is ready.

Speaking at a function to launch 27 new development projects and inaugurate 13 completed projects in the city, Kateel said the DPR to further upgrade the above mentioned 37-km NH stretch comprises constructing parallel flyovers, additional underpasses, widening of NH at critical stretches, reconstructing bridges and strengthening the highway and service roads.

At the event organised by Mangaluru City Corporation, he added that upgrading a 7-kilometre asphalted stretch between Baikampady and Lohitnagar in the city in to an 11-m wide concrete road is among the major component of the DPR.
