Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid foundation stone for the Midea Technology Park at Supa industrial area in Ahmednagar district’s Parner, over 100 kilometres from Shridi.
Speaking on the occasion, he said industry-friendly policies and amendments to various laws for industrial development have fetched foreign investment in Maharashtra, ensuring that it attracted 49 per cent of all such investment in the country.
He said the technology park, set up by a Chinese home appliances manufacturer, would generate jobs for people in Supa and Parner regions.
Urging investors to give the State an opportunity, he said, “the most important thing is that we have skilled manpower. Now, in EoDB rankings we (India) rank 77th which was 142nd earlier. Maharashtra has contributed immensely to this improved ranking. We are here to solve all your issues and this is the right time to invest in Maharashtra.”
He added: “With various business-friendly initiatives now, Maharashtra is achieving new heights. Of the total FDI that comes to India, 49 per cent comes to Maharashtra. I am confident that with Midea Technology Park there will be more employment opportunities.”
