L&T Construction wins orders worth Rs 1329 crore

L&T’s construction arm has bagged orders worth Rs 1,329 crore across three business segments – smart world communication, transportation infrastructure and water and effluent treatment.

Water & effluent treatment business won an order worth Rs 710 crore. Transportation infrastructure business won an order worth Rs 481 crore. And smart world communication business has secured an order worth Rs 138 crore.

The third order is from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunication systems for the extension of Bangalore Metro Phase-1.

The scope of work includes public address systems, passenger information display, master clocks, centralised data recording, tetra radio communication, fibre optic transmission network, CCTV surveillance and telecom supervisory control and data acquisition systems.

The unit is also executing similar works for Lucknow Metro, Nagpur Metro and Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
