Liebherr invests Rs 500 crore in fridge-making factory in Aurangabad

Germany-based leading refrigerator maker Liebherr-Hausgerate Ochsenhausen has invested Rs 500 crore in a factory at Aurangabad.

“We have done some in-depth investigation to decide on the right country to set up the factory,” Roman Schafer, managing director, sales, Liebherr-Hausgerate Ochsenhausen GmbH, was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

Recently, Liebherr Group inaugurated its plant in Shendra MIDC. This is the large equipment manufacturer’s first plant in India.

The facility has been set up over 15 acres as part of the first phase of the project with a total investment of Rs 500 crore.

Liebherr Appliances India Pvt Ltd, which is an autonomous company, will manufacture large appliances under the Centre’s Make in India project.
