LG to set up TV manufacturing unit in Pune

LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd has decided to set up a facility to manufacture LCD and LED television sets at Pune in Maharashtra.

In connection with this, the electronic goods major has filed an Industrial Entrepreneurs’ Memorandum with the Commerce Ministry’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP).

Other firms which have filed IEMS are Krishi Geopack Pvt Ltd (for a geo products unit at Chamrajanagar, Karnataka), Devi Aquatech Pvt Ltd (for a frozen shrimp facility at East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh) and Sintex Industries Ltd (for a plant to produce cotton and cotton mixture fabrics at Gandhinagar, Gujarat).

While Rubber Matters Pvt Ltd wanted to set up a reclaim rubber unit at Pune in Maharashtra, Ortin Laboratories Ltd proposed to set up an API Intermediates facility at Nalgonda, Telangana.

Pratap Digital Communications proposed to set up an optical fiber cable unit at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, Sansera Engineering Pvt Ltd wanted to set up a connecting rod facility at Udhamsingh Nagar, Uttarakhand and Ginza Lifestyles Ltd a ginning facility at Dhule, Maharashtra.
