A top official of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has bagged the tender for city gas distribution (CGD) projects in Coimbatore and Salem.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event promoting 5kg Indane gas cylinders through gas operated iron boxes in Coimbatore, he said the corporation has won the tender floated by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
Sitharthan said further: “We are establishing our setup in Coimbatore and Salem. We expect the project to be completed within three years.”
He added: “If the CGD project is implemented, gas would be distributed to the city through pipelines. After establishing offices in the two cities, they would start their survey for the project.”
