A segment of 11 km of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd will start functioning from the middle of this year (read June), while another stretch of 18 km before the end 2017.
Currently, HMRL is busy developing a 72-km-long elevated metro rail network across three dense city corridors.
NVS Reddy, Managing Director of HMRL, said, “of the three corridors under construction, the concessionaire L&T is expected to complete two corridors before the end of this year and the entire project by June 2018.”
Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) is a rapid transit system, currently under construction, for the city of Hyderabad. It is in Secant Operational model. It is being implemented entirely on public-private partnership (PPP) basis, with the state government holding a minority equity stake.
