HPCL to set up LPG facility in Odisha

In a bid to meet growing demand, state-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is setting up an LPG bottling plant with a capacity of filling 42 lakh cylinders per year at Rayagada in Odisha.

Speaking to reporters, HPCL deputy general manager, LPG region, Bhubaneswar, Dharmendra Behura, said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the new LPG plant on February 19.

The new unit will be the second LPG bottling plant of HPCL in Odisha as it already has one at Jatni. The Rayagada plant, once commissioned, shall supply cylinders to consumers in eleven districts of the State.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited is an Indian oil and natural gas company with its headquarters at Mumbai, Maharashtra. It has about 25% market-share in India among public-sector companies and a strong marketing infrastructure.
