Haryana Orbital Rail to have 17 stations, connect Palwal to Sonipat

The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Project will have 17 stations connecting Harsana Kalan in Sonipat and Palwal.

A double rail line which will connect Sonipat to Palwal and once operational, it will run along the Western Peripheral Expressway or the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

The detailed project report (DPR) of the project was recently approved by the board of directors of the Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC).

HRIDC is a joint venture between the Railway Ministry and the Government of Haryana. This project will provide direct rail connectivity (by-passing Delhi) to all the routes originating from Delhi and passing through Haryana. This will also give connectivity to Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) network at Pirthala.

This rail corridor will have stations at New Palwal, Silani, Sohna, Dhulawat, Jasaur Kheri, Kharkhoda, Tarakpur and finally connect the Delhi-Ambala line at Harsana Kalan.
