Gleneagles Global Hospitals has inaugurated a 40-bed facility on Richmond Road in Bengaluru recently. This is the hospital’s fourth one in Karnataka.
Speaking on the occasion, Gleneagles Global Hospitals Chairman and Founder Dr K Ravindranath, said, “this particular hospital is for short stay, and focuses on diagnosing efficiently, treating and discharging patients quickly.”
He said that if anything is serious, patients will be referred to the bigger facility. He said that the group would look at expanding its short stay facilities, like the one that was inaugurated in Bengaluru.
Started in 1999 as a 50-bed venture, it has now spread across Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai. In Karnataka alone, the hospital has over 640 beds.
In 2015, IHH Healthcare bought a 73.4 per cent stake in Global Hospitals. Gleneagles Global is now a part of Parkway Pantai, a fully owned subsidiary of IHH Healthcare.
