Freyr Energy wins power order from Telangana

Freyr Energy and Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TSSPDCL) have signed an agreement for the supply and installation of rooftop solar projects on their offices and substation buildings in Medak and Nalgonda districts.

According to Saurabh Marda, Co-founder, Freyr Energy, “the Telangana government’s action taken in harnessing solar, and paving way for a cleaner world is commendable. It is a good move by TSSPDCL to first solarise its own buildings. This will help the public understand the importance of solar and will encourage them to solarise their premises as well.”

The company will deploy 300kWp in Medak and 290kWp in Nalgonda, and expects the project to be completed within 12 months.

Freyr Energy has now completed more than 5.5 MW projects out of the cumulative installed capacity of 1.5 GW in rooftop segment, and has several ongoing projects across the country. Its products range from rooftop systems, petrol pumps, solar water pumps to microgrids.
