Fortum Solar to set up new plant in Karnataka

Fortum Solar India Pvt Ltd has proposed to set up a new solar power generation plant at Tumkur in Karnataka.

In connection with this, it has filed an Industrial Entrepreneur’s Memorandum with the Commerce Ministry’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP).

Other firms which have filed IEMS are Orient Craft Fashion Industries (textile apparels unit at Ranchi, Jharkhand), Satyajeet Sugars Ltd (multiple facilities at Satara, Maharashtra) and Shukun Builders Pvt Ltd (processing and preserving of fruits and vegetables at Banaskantha, Gujarat).

While Nanliu Manufacturing (India) Pvt Ltd expressed interest to set up a plant to produce air-through nonwoven fabric at Ahmedabad, Gujaat, Ankur Udyog Ltd has proposed to establish a sponge iron unit at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Other companies which have filed IEMS are Talbros Automotive Components (manufacturing of auto forging/gaskets/parts at Faridabad, Haryana), Ankur Udyog Ltd (generation of coal electric power at Gorakhpur, UP) and Ambaji Trading Company (manufacture or refining of sugar from sugarcane) at Jalgaon, Mahrashtra.
