The Union government has granted environmental clearance (EC) to exhibition-cum-convention centre (ECC) in Delhi.
Spread over 89.72 ha of land with a build up area of 10,20,000 sq mtr, the project is being developed by Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation. It will come up at Barthal villages and Bamnoli, Sector 25, Dwarka in New Delhi.
With an investment of Rs 25,367 crore, the project will generate direct employment for 53,704 people during operation phase.
The centre will comprise of 13 buildings blocks. It will comprise of exhibition centre, along with construction 1,300 rooms, 800 rooms of four star hotels, 1,000 rooms of three star hotel among other facilities. The exhibition space will spread over 2,00,000 sq mtr of area and convention centre to be spread over 60,000 sq mtr will also be constructed as part of ECC.
