Dilip Buildcon has announced winning a road project worth Rs 1,362.06 crore crore in Uttar Pradesh.
In a filing to BSE, the highway developer said it has received the letter of acceptance (LoA) from Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) for EPC project in the state.
The project entails the development of Bundelkhand Expressway Project (Package-VI) from Bakhariya to Kudrail Access Controlled (Greenfield) Expressway Project in Uttar Pradesh on (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis.
According to the filing, the project which is 45.28 km in length is to be completed in three years. Earlier this month, the company bagged an order worth Rs 2,122.74 crore from Northern Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India.
The project is for removal of overburden at a mining project in Madhya Pradesh. In a filing to BSE, the company said, “Dilip Buildcon has been awarded OB (over burden) removal contract mining work for Nigahi project at Singrauli district in the State of Madhya Pradesh valued at Rs 2,122.74 crore by the Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd (CIL).”
In mining, overburden is the overlying material (such as rock, soil) that generally has no commercial value. According to the filing, the company was declared L1 bidder (lowest bidder) in the reverse auction conducted by NCL.
