Bernard Charles, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dassault Systemes, has said the company is betting big on India. “My heart is very close to India,” he said.

Recently, two-wheeler major Royal Enfield had joined hands with Dassault Systemes, the 3DEXPERIENCE firm for optimising its design and product development lifecycle for all its motorcycle models and accessory range.

According to a release, Royal Enfield has performed a complete piston durability and high fidelity simulation of critical parts like powertrain and chassis using Dassault Systemes SIMULIA applications on the for realistic simulation, before any prototyping.

Meanwhile, Charles has said, “I think for the kind of run rate that we see in India, it is possible to double the revenue (from the Indian market) every three years.”

Lead CAE and CAD, Royal Enfield, Rod Giles, said, “We have been using Dassault Systemes SIMULIA applications to perform realistic simulation, before any prototyping in our product innovation, development and manufacturing processes. We have successfully launched India’s first twin engine motorcycle Interceptor and Continental 650 performing the complete piston durability using Dassault Systemes SIMULIA. We have deployed solutions such as Abaqus, Isight, Tosca, fe-safe and Simpack to perform high fidelity simulation of critical parts like powertrain and chassis, at the design stage reducing significant costs and time in prototyping and in manufacturing.”
