A review meeting was conducted by Chief Secretary B K Agarwal with officials of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) to review Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri New Rail Line Project.
A monitoring committee under the chairmanship of Agarwal would be set up to monitor the progress of the project every three months.
The project is being given top priority by the state government, which is taking all efforts to complete it at the earliest.
According to Rajeev Soni- Chief Project Manager Rail Vikas Nigam Limited Indian Railway Service of Engineers, forest clearance up to 20 km has been accorded by the Government of India.
Already, acquisition of land falling in Himachal Pradesh in the first phase of the project has been done and a compensation of Rs 40 crore has been disbursed to the affected families. The process of acquisition of land in six more villages has also been completed and compensation will be disbursed shortly.
