Container Corporation (Concor) has inked a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up an Integrated Logistics & Manufacturing Zone at Machillpatnam.
As per the agreement, Concor will develop a 1,000 acre land parcel to provide Multi-Modal Logistics Facilities. This will be executed in a phased manner through Public Private Partnerships as well as other modes.
The impact from this event is long term in nature and is unlikely to affect near term expectations of earnings or valuation.
Concor, the market leader in rail cargo handling with 73.2 per cent market share, has the largest network of 68 terminals across the country. It is also setting up 20 multi modal logistics parks (MMLPs) for providing single window services and seamless connectivity for promoting hinterland transportation.
