Bihar govt gives nod to redevelop PMCH at Rs 5540 crore

The state government of Bihar has given its nod for redevelopment of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) into a world
‘s largest 5462 bed hospital.

A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the state Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The redevelopment will be done at an estimated cost of Rs 5540.07 crore.

Patna Medical College and Hospital was established in 1925 and originally known as Prince of Wales Medical College. It is a medical college located in Patna, the state capital of Bihar, India.

It is located on the southern bank of the river Ganges and is now affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University.
