Bharathi Cement is planning to strengthen its presence in the western and eastern regions of the country with new plants and products.
The Hyderabad-based company,in which French cement major Vicat Group holds majority share, is planning two new production plants in Vishakapatnam and Mumbai in the next two to three years.
It is to be noted that the company already has a strong presence in south India, Goa and Maharashtra, M Ravinder Reddy, director, marketing, Bharathi Cement, said, “The two plants can cater to the demand in eastern and western parts of the country.”
Reddy further said the company hopes to raise its present market share of four per cent in the country by another one per cent with the new plants and products. “We will next come out with an environment-friendly composite green cement which will use less limestone,” he added.
